I hope some of you will give the game a go, especially if you liked the first! I suppose this thread can serve as a sort of OT. You can read the prologue story (which I very strongly recommend before you start the game!), character bios, and world information (all taken from the manual), as well as download the patch and read instructions on how to install it, set up PC-98 emulators, and play the game. We've created a website for the translation, which you can find here. It has already been officially localized on PSP, as Brandish: The Dark Revenant. While you do not strictly need to play the first game before playing Brandish 2, we would definitely recommend playing it, both because there are story connections to it and because it's a great game in its own right.
If you're not familiar with the Brandish games, they're dungeon-crawling action RPGs that are probably best known for their unique camera that remains oriented behind the player character, as well as their superb music. It is with great pleasure that I can now announce that the fan translation of the PC-98 version of Brandish 2, worked on by myself, Gu4n, and JoseJL (not a member here) is officially released.
